Hello/welcome in the Woiwurrung lanuage of the Wurundjeri people of Kulin Nation-the traditional owners of Melbourne

AKNOWLEDEMENT

Oliver Altermatt Photography proudly acknowledges the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations as the traditional custodians of the land upon which we operate. We recognise and honour their deep connection to this land, its waters, and their vibrant community. We also acknowledge and appreciate the significant contributions that the First People have made to the art and culture of this region.

As a photography business, we pay our respects to the Wurundjeri Elders, both past and present, who have nurtured and preserved the wisdom, traditions, and knowledge of their ancestors. We also extend our respect to all First Nations people, acknowledging their ongoing presence and contributions to our society.

It is important to recognise that sovereignty was never ceded, and we firmly acknowledge that this land always was and always will be Aboriginal Land. We stand with the First Nations people in their continuous struggle for recognition, justice, and self-determination.

Oliver Altermatt Photography is committed to fostering inclusivity, diversity, and cultural appreciation in all aspects of our work. We strive to create a safe and respectful environment that values and uplifts the voices and stories of all individuals, particularly those from Indigenous communities. Through our photography, we aim to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures that make up our nation and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society.

By acknowledging the traditional custodians, their ongoing connection to the land, and the importance of First Nations art and culture, we hope to promote greater understanding, respect, and reconciliation within our community and beyond.
