Traders of Hydra is an ongoing photographic project that captures contemporary shopkeepers and business owners posed proudly before their storefronts, echoing historical portrait traditions while documenting the island’s living mercantile heritage.
Walking Twice
Walking Twice is an ongoing photographic project that depicts a series of walks across Hydra, where each journey is recorded on film and then re-exposed during a second passage along similar paths; through this process, separate moments cohere into layered, semi-abstract images that dissolve linear time and merge landscape, gesture, and memory, forming a poetic and artistic interpretation of place rather than a fixed description.
Faces of Hydra
Last winter I documented Hydra’s off-season life, creating a 7-minute slide presentation with animations and music that captures the island’s quiet rhythms beyond tourism.
